The University of California, Irvine, Winnifred Smith Hall. Director & Researcher, ¿Diversi…Qué?, funded by the University of California, Irvine’s DECADE Program. Researched issues of diversity, climate, and inequities on the UCI Campus, then co-wrote, adapted, and directed a play to function as an intervention.

His stage directing credits include bilingual adaptations of classical and contemporary plays in English plus Spanish, Armenian, Mandarin, Italian, and Nahuatl.

About his bilingual (English and Mandarin) adaptation of I Dream of Chang and Eng by Phillip Kan Gotanda, Broadway World stated, “director Ricardo Rocha directs this complex and layered story, which moves between different decades… and explores the already marked 'difference' of what it meant to be an Asian immigrant in 19th century America.”
